About Us
Hertzfeld Poultry Farms, Inc. is a diversified agricultural organization specializing in providing high-quality eggs. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hertzfeld, Sr. began the family business with an 80-acre farm in 1938. In 1959 they began to focus on egg production with 6,000 laying hens. Hertzfeld Poultry Farms, Inc. was incorporated in 1966, growing from a family farm to a fully integrated company that controls all phases of the production cycle.

Organizational Structure
Poultry
The manager of the poultry operation oversees the production of the laying hens onsite in Grand Rapids, Ohio, our contract flocks offsite, as well as pullet rearing done by growers on contract with Hertzfeld Poultry Farms, Inc.
Processing
The manager of the processing operating coordinates processing, marketing and delivery of over 2 million eggs per month.
Farming
The manager of the farming operation grows corn for feed used internally to feed the laying hens.
Feedmill
The manager of the feedmill operation provides carefully formulated feed for our laying hens.
Manure
The manager of the manure operation oversees disposition of organic matter for use as fertilizer.
